We organize and co-sponsor events for students, alumnae, and public audiences. Look for the German Play, Minnesota Forum, and Graduate Student Conference in annual rotation. Lectures by international scholars, visiting professors, and acclaimed authors take place throughout the academic year. Other public events (talks, conferences, exhibitions) connect us to related interdisciplinary programs and centers. Faculty and graduate students exchange ideas at departmental colloquia. Undergraduates and others enjoy films, international TV broadcasts in the Language Center, the German Kaffeestunde, as well as special Dutch, Finnish, and Scandinavian events.
