DUS Office Hours & Appointment Scheduling

About Appointments

Most appointments are 15 minutes long, and scheduling for them starts on the hour.

If you have a more complex situation you need to discuss (e.g., transferring coursework from a non-US university), state that in the reason section and we'll set up a 30 minute appointment for you.

For those who absolutely cannot make the regularly scheduled times, other times are occasionally available. These will vary from week to week, so in the 1st Choice box, please type “unable to make times” and we will let you know if other times happen to be open that week.

Please bring a copy of your unofficial transcript to your meeting.

There are no advising hours during winter break, spring break, or the summer. If you have a problem that absolutely cannot wait until the DUS returns for the academic year, email ugradgsd@umn.edu.
